Stockport Local Medical Committee is the statutory representative body for GPs and Practices across Stockport.

Locally, we work with practices providing guidance and support on all aspects of their work as clinicians and businesses.

 More widely, we work with a wide range of Health and Social Care Partners in Stockport and Greater Manchester to ensure that GPs, practices, and their patients are represented at those levels in order to support and strengthen front line General Practice

On a National Level, all LMCs interact and work with, and through, the GPC (general practitioners committee) as well as other branch of practice committees and local specialist medical committees in a variety of ways, including conferences, to help steer the national agenda for General Practice.
